Taste Match Terms of Use

Welcome to the Taste Match app. These terms govern your use of the services provided by Taste Match AG (“we”, “us”, “our”) through our mobile application and website. Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By using the Taste Match app, you agree to these terms of use.

1. Definitions

„App“ refers to the Taste Match mobile application, which allows users to find, select, and make table reservations at restaurants.
"Services" refers to the features and services provided through the app and website, including restaurant search, table booking, and the display of user recommendations.
„User“ refers to any person who uses our app or website.
„Content“ includes all information, data, text, photos, videos, and other materials available through the service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Taste Match app or website, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, you cannot use the app.

3. Changes to the Terms

Taste Match AG reserves the right to change these terms of use at any time. Changes will be announced appropriately. It is your responsibility to regularly review the terms of use. Continued use of the services after a change is considered your agreement to the amended terms.

4. Usage Rights

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, copy, or use the app or its content for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

5. User Accounts

To use certain features of our services, you must create a user account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities that occur under your account. Taste Match AG makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of content provided through the app or website. Use of the services is at your own risk. Taste Match AG is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the services, unless such damages are due to intentional or grossly negligent behavior.

9. Termination of Use

Taste Match AG reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the services at any time for violations of these terms. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us or through the appropriate functions in the app.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms of use are governed by the substantive law of Switzerland. For disputes related to these terms, the courts in Bern, Switzerland, have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these terms of use is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. These terms of use constitute the entire agreement between you and Taste Match AG.

14. Reservations and Disclaimer for No-Shows

14.1 User Reservation Obligations: Users are required to make reservations only when they genuinely intend to attend. Repeated no-shows may result in the suspension of the user’s account on Taste Match.
14.2 Reservation Confirmations: Reservations made via the Taste Match app are confirmed by the participating restaurants. Taste Match AG does not guarantee the availability or confirmation of the requested reservation. The final responsibility lies with the respective restaurants.
14.3 Disclaimer for No-Shows: Taste Match AG accepts no liability for user no-shows in case of a reservation or for any cancellation fees imposed by the restaurant. Users are responsible for familiarizing themselves with and adhering to the cancellation or modification policies of the respective restaurant. If a restaurant charges a no-show fee, Taste Match AG may pass this fee on to the users. In such cases, Taste Match will provide the necessary account details and request a transfer of the per-person fee to cover the no-show.
14.4 Modifications and Cancellations: Cancellations or changes to a reservation must be made directly via the Taste Match app or in accordance with the policies of the respective restaurant. Taste Match AG reserves the right to suspend user accounts in cases of repeated no-shows or misuse of the reservation function.
