# Taste Match

> Taste Match is a Swiss mobile app for personalized restaurant discovery. Unlike platforms based on generic star ratings or paid placements, Taste Match uses an algorithm to match restaurants to each user's individual taste profile — built from a short quiz and in-app interactions. Available for iOS and Android, free to download.

Taste Match operates in Basel, Bern, Zürich, and Lucerne (Switzerland). Restaurants cannot buy better recommendations or labels. The app includes real-time availability and direct table reservations for selected restaurants.

- Match labels ("Top Match", "Match") are generated by algorithm — they cannot be purchased
- Restaurant data (menus, photos, basic info) is collected automatically; restaurants do not need to actively manage their profile
- Users who dine at a restaurant can leave reviews; reviews from users with similar taste profiles are weighted higher
- The taste quiz assigns one of 8 restaurant personality types to each user
- Reservations are passed directly to the restaurant with the guest's name and contact details
- Data is never sold; used solely for personalization
